Uploading Custom SSL Certificates

By default, Epycbyte provides all domains with a custom SSL certificate. However, Enterprise teams can upload their own custom SSL certificate to serve it through Epycbyte's edge network.

Uploading Custom SSL Certificates

Custom SSL certificates can be uploaded through:

  • Account-scoped domains configuration page
  • Domains tab on your team's dashboard
  • Epycbyte REST API

Steps to Upload a Custom SSL Certificate

  1. Provide the Private Key: Extract the private key from your PEM file and paste it directly into the input box.
  2. Provide the Certificate: Extract the certificate from your PEM file and paste it directly into the input box.
  3. Provide the Certificate Authority (CA) Root Certificate: Obtain this from your certificate issuer, such as Let's Encrypt, and paste it into the input box.

SSL Best Practices

  • The custom certificate will be prioritized over the automatically generated one.
  • If you remove the custom certificate, Epycbyte will revert to the auto-generated certificate.
  • You can include canonical names (CNs) for other subdomains without adding them to Epycbyte.
  • Wildcard certificates are supported and can be uploaded.
